Ongoing Conditions - a group show.

Low-res forest. Several black and white photos printed on long strips of thermal receipt paper hung side by side to create a forest. Donna Enticknap 2026

I have a whole bunch of work in this show running until May 31st at our shared studio space in Twickenham. I think I neglected to post about my new studio space in Twickenham.. I’ve been there a few weeks now. There’s a charity called The Artists’ Window who fill disused buildings with artists. Ours is an abandoned office space. It was very corporate when we moved in but we’ve filled it with stuff and now it looks nice. And we have a show. There are ten of us, spread over two floors. Having this space has been hugely transformative in the way I work, after years of working from home in solitude. Learning to share space, and riff off the vibe of other people around me. It’s a good group of people.

Ongoing Conditions is an exhibition of works in progress. Over the next two months it will evolve and grow, things added to or taken away. It’s the first time I’ve got to see my work all together like this with enough space to see what it is I’m doing. Most of it is re-worked pieces from my residency in the woods at OHG in 2024, the pinhole photographs altered or defaced with words now, and I'm deciding how I feel about that. And there’s some new stuff, like the low-res forest above, multiple shots of the woods taken on a kids’ camera that prints on thermal receipt paper. There is an audio loop that plays alongside it, the sound of the woods and the parakeets and the camera whirring as it takes the photos. It’s my first fully-realised “installation”, of sorts. I’m also just finishing up the edit of a short film piece that will be added over the next couple of weeks hopefully. A multi-channel screen thing. And I’m quite excited about that. Ross and his new-found Raspberry Pi coding skills have been ultra helpful. I’ve been sharing stuff on bluesky if you want to see more.

The show is open by appointment only, as it’s not a public space. Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm. If anyone is in town and would like to visit, send me a message.
